CLUB HISTORY

The North Country Golf Club has been open since 1936. The original nine holes was built by the Andrew Weston Family. Mr. Weston had a vision of  a club atmosphere that rivaled those of Quebec. The club prospered for many years and the second nine was built in 1966, by that time the golf course had been donated to the Town of Champlain as gift in hopes that it would remain a place for local residents to gather socially and recreationally as it had been for thirty years prior. True to Mr. Weston's' wish North Country G.C. has grown into a very popular club with many members.

Presently it is owned and maintained by North Country Golf Club Incorporated, a Board of Directors elected by club members administers the club.

The North Country Golf Club offers a full service Restaurant and bar open daily with a  large banquet facility that remains open year round. In addition the Club has a fully Stocked Golf  Shop, locker rooms with full amenities, driving range and practice facilities. The club prides itself in the condition the course is kept along with maintaining the traditions that its founders had dreamed of when the course was built in 1936.
